This prestigious development, in the Spitalfields area of London, adjacent to the City of London, had already started when Cryotherm was asked to come to the rescue. Fire protection to 52 external columns had already been installed, but due to the exposed situation, the integrity of the fire protection had failed.
Cryotherm came up with a solution that saved the cost of removing what had already been installed, providing full weather resistance and a stylish finish to match the building’s stature.
Time was of the essence as the project had been delayed due to the failure of the first fire protection system.
Cryotherm’s solution was powder coated circular metal casings. The design had to take into account the supporting framework and jointing arrangements for the three circular sections making up the 7.83 metre casing.
Products:
- 1.5mm Zintec casings, powder coated to RAL7012 and lined with 20mm Spiralite.
Scope:
- Provide a weather-tight solution for replacement of the original fire protection and casings to 52 external columns
- Fabrication of the casings and provide all materials for the project
- Installation.
